DC’s Classic American Brunch Unconventional Dinner
🦆 Peking Duck Confit Staff Recommendation This duck leg confit version of Peking duck has a decent taste, a bit on the salty side overall. It comes with a pot of mini sweet sauce that doesn’t quite complement the duck. The duck is sprinkled with sesame seeds, and the skin is crispy and aromatic. 🍣 Miso Salmon Surprisingly Satisfied My Palate Shiitake & Bok Choy Similar to winter mushrooms and Chinese cabbage, this dish is a hundred times better than Mama Chang’s version. (Not saying Mama Chang’s is great, just for comparison.) 🍹 9th Street Clover Club The cocktail is average, the Limoncello Foam is dense. The presentation is not as impressive as I imagined. The decor and food are both average, and the service isn’t particularly warm. But for some reason, I really like this place; it has a comfortable vibe overall. I super dislike being asked if the food is good after every bite! Added to the DC brunch top 1 list!!! Finals haven’t started yet, and I’m out eating every day. That’s just how academic locusts are - happiness is what matters most! Tomorrow starts Finals, but my heart is already on 🏝️. #HeartyMeals #EvenBusyMustEatWell #NeverTooBusyForBreakfast #WashingtonDC #AcademicLocust #FinalExams
