DC's Top-Tier Japanese Ramen Spot – Menya Hosaki 🍜✨
I’ve known about this place since I started studying here, but they’re only open 4 days a week with limited hours 😅 It always clashed with my classes or part-time job… but I finally made time to go recently! Heard you need to arrive early to queue—and it’s true! We got there an hour ahead ⏳ Killed time browsing the bookstore next door and grabbing ice cream from the shop beside it 🍦📚 Started lining up 30 minutes before opening—and within no time, the line grew crazy long! 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️ But it was totally worth the wait! 🍗 The Karaage (fried chicken) is a must-order! So juicy and made with quality meat—not oily at all. Even when it cooled down later, it stayed tender! 👌💛 🍜 I got the Spicy Tonkotsu, and my friend ordered the Triple Threat The broth was rich and flavorful but not heavy 👏 (I usually avoid pork in the U.S., but theirs is handled really well—no porky taste!) 🐷✨ The karaage came out pretty quickly after ordering But the ramen took about 30 minutes—likely made fresh to order! We noticed something: tables that ordered karaage seemed to get their ramen later 🧐 Maybe they prioritize serving ramen first to those who didn’t order appetizers? (We saw nearby guests who ordered later but got ramen before us because they didn’t get karaage!) #DMVFood #WashingtonDC #RamenLovers #MenyaHosaki #JapaneseRamen #BestRamenDC #FoodLine #WorthTheWait #KaraageChicken #FreshBroth #StudentEats #DCFoodScene #NoPorkOdor #QueueForFood #HumbleReview #RamenOfTheDay #CulinaryObsession #EatLikeALocal #DCGuide #NoodleHeaven
