DC / Virginia Day Trip 🚗💨

Today visited George Washington’s Mount Vernon – the historic home of America’s first president! 🏛️🌳 The estate is incredibly well-preserved and full of fascinating stories from the 18th century! Walking through the estate—past red-brick cottages, lush green lawns, and the peaceful River Front scenery—you really feel the deep sense of history 🌿📜. The beautiful Potomac River views are absolutely breathtaking! I could have spent hours just watching the boats go by. ⛵ It's not just a name from a textbook anymore… it's where Washington actually lived, walked, and dreamed 🇺🇸✨. Standing in his actual bedroom and seeing his personal belongings made history feel so alive and tangible! This trip definitely brought me closer to a real piece of American history. The guided tour was incredibly informative, and the museum exhibits were world-class! I even got to see the famous key to the Bastille that Lafayette gave to Washington! 🗝️ Have you visited any presidential homes or historic estates that left a lasting impression on you?
