DC | Sushi By Bou šŸ£

A new Sushi by Bou just opened in DC—it’s known as an affordable omakase spot from New York. Since I’m on a tight budget, I decided to check it out! I went for the 60 budget omakase and added a sparkling drink for 12. Overall, it was okay—nothing special. The flavors leaned a bit salty, and some sauces and salt overpowered the natural taste of the seafood. But there was one standout: the Spotted Prawn was seriously amazing! I’m so jealous that Vancouver folks get to enjoy these every summer. šŸ¤šŸ’” The vibe is very American-social—12 seats at the counter, and I was the only one dining alone. A little awkward, but the staff and chef were super friendly! They chatted with me and made the experience much more comfortable. Fun note: No one—from the chef to the diners—was Japanese. And each time a dish was served, everyone cheered ā€œAmazing!ā€ šŸ˜„šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø The patio has a nice view, and it’s metro-accessible—great for budget-friendly outings. šŸš‡ If you want to try an American-style omakase, this is a decent spot to visit.
