🚂 DC → Richmond Day Trip (Detective Conan Edition!) 🕵️‍♂️✨

Left DC at 7:20 AM on Amtrak and arrived at 10 AM in Richmond, VA — the state capital! Started at The Poe Museum, just a 7-minute walk from Main Street Station. As a Detective Conan fan, this was a dream come true 🖤📚! The museum is set in a garden-like space. Right at the entrance, I was greeted by Edgar — a little black cat 🐈‍⬛ who guided me through the cottages! Each room showcased Edgar Allan Poe’s life and works. Then in the garden, I met the second cat: Tib, a playful tuxedo kitty who loves climbing trees 🌳😻. Next stop: Virginia Museum of Fine Arts 🖼️. I came mainly for the Fabergé Exhibit — inspired by Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century 🥚🔍. Finally saw the real Imperial Easter Eggs… stunningly beautiful! The one in my photo was a gift from Tsar Nicholas II to his wife — and it’s the one that most closely matches the egg from the Conan movie! ✨ In the afternoon: American Civil War Museum near the James River ⚔️🌊 — highly recommended for history lovers! Canal Walk 🚶‍♀️💧: A bit underwhelming but has some historical markers. Walked all the way to the Virginia State Capitol 🏛️ — fun fact: Virginia is one of only four U.S. states called a “Commonwealth” 🤔🇺🇸? (If you know why, comment below!)
