πŸš‚ DC β†’ Richmond Day Trip (Detective Conan Edition!) πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈβœ¨

Left DC at 7:20 AM on Amtrak and arrived at 10 AM in Richmond, VA β€” the state capital! Started at The Poe Museum, just a 7-minute walk from Main Street Station. As a Detective Conan fan, this was a dream come true πŸ–€πŸ“š! The museum is set in a garden-like space. Right at the entrance, I was greeted by Edgar β€” a little black cat πŸˆβ€β¬› who guided me through the cottages! Each room showcased Edgar Allan Poe’s life and works. Then in the garden, I met the second cat: Tib, a playful tuxedo kitty who loves climbing trees 🌳😻. Next stop: Virginia Museum of Fine Arts πŸ–ΌοΈ. I came mainly for the FabergΓ© Exhibit β€” inspired by Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century πŸ₯šπŸ”. Finally saw the real Imperial Easter Eggs… stunningly beautiful! The one in my photo was a gift from Tsar Nicholas II to his wife β€” and it’s the one that most closely matches the egg from the Conan movie! ✨ In the afternoon: American Civil War Museum near the James River βš”οΈπŸŒŠ β€” highly recommended for history lovers! Canal Walk πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ’§: A bit underwhelming but has some historical markers. Walked all the way to the Virginia State Capitol πŸ›οΈ β€” fun fact: Virginia is one of only four U.S. states called a β€œCommonwealth” πŸ€”πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ? (If you know why, comment below!) Wrapped back to Main Street Station by 5 PM and took Amtrak back to DC β€” a true blitz day-trip! πŸ’₯🧳 #Richmond #EdgarAllanPoe #DetectiveConan #CivilWar #ACSFall2025 #DC #AmtrakAdventure #AnimeInRealLife
