DC Brunch | Tired of Tatte and Mamman? Try this place instead
No reservation needed, you can just walk in. It’s a community gem with a bustling weekend business, seems like it’s mostly locals dining, not one of those trendy spots with a line out the door. Perfect for a lazy weekend morning, strolling over with friends to grab a bite and chat. If the weather’s nice, I recommend sitting outside to bask in the sun and read a book. They have a weekend brunch menu You can opt for the ALL-INCLUSIVE buffet (Entrée + a basket of homemade pastries + mimosa + coffee) for $25 per person (I think it might have gone up to$35, I’m not quite sure, as the menu didn’t have what we wanted, so we ended up ordering à la carte). 🍯 Muesli is definitely worth a try, it’s a different texture from Tatte’s, kind of like a cold, sweet oatmeal. 🥞 STRAWBERRIES & CREAM is pretty average, the strawberry cream tastes a bit like artificial coloring, but it looks nice. 🍳 SPINACH, MUSHROOMS & FETA omelette is quite large, packed with ingredients, and has a nice touch of feta cheese in the middle. 🥓 BIG BREAKFAST is a classic full meal, the hashbrown is very flavorful. 🍰 The strawberry cream choux is huge, with a rich cream that isn’t too sweet. The chocolate muffin has a deep chocolate flavor and isn’t sweet, without that cloying oily taste. The shop also has a variety of homemade breads and cakes that look beautiful and probably taste amazing. #dc #DMVFoodAndFun #cafe #brunch #DMVExploration #buffet #DMVFood #DMV #WhatToEatInDMV #DMVWeekendSpots
