DC Cuisine | Mediterranean Food - Another Wow Moment!
🌟I’ve been eyeing the Mediterranean cuisine at Zaytinya by José Andrés for a while. This time, I finally got to try it with a friend visiting from out of town. Every dish was a hit! Five stars all around! 🌟They offer a chef’s tasting menu for each person, or you can order whatever you like. Most dishes are small tapas plates, perfect for sharing and trying a variety of flavors. 🍤 Shrimp Absolutely loved it! A blend of creaminess and tanginess, the flavors were so intricate! 🌟Seared H-starting Cheese A sweet, toasted aroma that’s quite unique! 🌟Kabab Platter The lamb and chicken skewer plate is a bit larger, almost like a main course. The lamb was excellent, comes with three types of seasonings, the white sauce was particularly memorable, and the chili sauce was also good. 🌟Vegetable Salad The first item on the menu, a classic Mediterranean salad with cherry tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. The vinegar dressing was refreshing and healthy. 🌟Hummus So delicious! I’m personally a big fan of hummus, and this one was just to my taste. No need to say more 😆 The bread that came with it was also great. 🌟Greek Yogurt + Apricot A recommended dessert, the slight tanginess of the apricot really enhances the flavor. 🌟I’ve tried several Mediterranean restaurants in Washington, and I’ve never been disappointed, but this one really wowed me! I think it’s even a bit better than Iron Gate. #dmvfoodie #DMVdining #DMVfood #dmvfood #washingtonfood #washingtonfoodie #washingtondcfoodie #mediterraneancuisine #hiddenrestaurantgem
