DC Food Exploration | The Hottest Brunch Spot on a Backstreet
đKafe Leopold, nestled on a backstreet in the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C., specializes in Austrian cuisine with a menu in both English and German. Itâs packed full on weekend brunches, and even though there are plenty of seats, you might still have to wait during peak times â itâs that popular! The food is tasty, light, and healthy, leaving you feeling comfortable after a meal, and itâs great value for money. Thereâs also a variety of desserts and drinks to choose from. The outdoor area is spacious, complete with a fountain, making it very pleasant. đGrilled Chicken Salad The grilled chicken salad comes with a generous portion of tender chicken, light yet flavorful, without feeling heavy. Not bad at all đ đLeopard Omelet The signature omelet has a decent taste, packed with vegetables and well-seasoned. Their cooking style results in a thick, hearty egg. The addition of smoked salmon didnât particularly enhance the flavor and was a bit salty; I wouldnât recommend adding salmon. đLeopard Quiche I had the quiche about six months ago, and it left an impression of being quite light, especially when paired with a heap of vegetables â super healthy. đLemon Pancake This lemon-flavored pancake, which I also tried six months ago, was a bit heavy but delicious from what I recall. Itâs pretty recommended, tasting a bit like a small cake đ Itâs a large portion, and you can even take the leftovers with you. đThis place is the kind of spot you can just drop by when youâre not sure what to eat. It might not be a showstopper, but youâll leave feeling content. #dmvfoodie #WhattoEatinDMV #DMVFoodandFun #GreaterWashington #dccuisinetours #dccuisine #washingtonfood #georgetownfood #brunch #cafe
