DC Food Review Dogon | One of North America's 50 Best Restaurants
Among the top 50 restaurants in North America, three are located in DC! Besides Albi and Moon Rabbit, there's also Dogon—an African fusion spot. Since I had good experiences at the other two, I decided to give this one a try. Haven’t seen many people post about it yet! Overall, it was decent—great for meat lovers, but I might not rush back. Price was around $100+ per person before tax. Have you been to any of the top 50 restaurants? Which one is your favorite? 🍽️💬 📍Dogon by Kwame Onwuachi, Washington, D.C. 🍞 Coconut Bread Rolls Most fine dining places nail their bread, and this one was no exception—rich coconut flavor! 🥥✨ Do you prefer sweet or savory bread at restaurants? 🍽️ Charbroiled Oysters Buttery oysters with a smoky grilled aroma! Served with spicy sauce—so fragrant and satisfying 🔥🦪 Are you an oyster fan? How do you like yours prepared? 🍽️ Ben's Bowl: Crispy Lamb Curry Tasty, but a bit on the salty side with strong spices. 🍛🐑 What’s your go-to curry dish? 🍽️ Chef's Special Pork Belly (Daily Special) Not on the regular menu—it was okay, but not as memorable as the first two dishes. 🐖🤔 Have you ever tried an off-menu item that surprised you? 🍽️ Wagyu Short Rib Awaze Similar to grilled meat you’d find at an Ethiopian restaurant—pretty standard. 🥩 Do you enjoy Ethiopian-style grilled meats? 🍨 Rum Cake Rich rum flavor—quite boozy! 🍰🍾 Do you like desserts with a strong alcohol taste?
