DC Gin Bar | Vintage Hermès on the Wall?
📍 The Wells ⏰ Wed-Sat 5-11pm (Really envious of this work-life balance! 😹) 🍊 Slightly clickbaity title: No bags, just a scarf! This week, I want to recommend The Wells from last year. As a gin lover, this bar is truly my favorite. Not only is the decor elegant and perfect for photos (can a wall decorated with Hermès scarves not be photogenic?), but every custom cocktail I ordered was amazing. I started with two sparkling drinks from the menu, both refreshing and delicious. For the second round, I asked the bartender for something similar to a gin fizz but different, and they made me a Ramos gin fizz (so good!)—the kind where they actually shake it for 15 minutes! Honestly, it was the first time I’d seen someone voluntarily make a Ramos gin fizz. 😂 🍊 Sister restaurants include The Duck & The Peach (American, right next to The Wells) and La Collina (Italian). The Wells has a small menu with some snacks, but unless you want to make caviar your meal, don’t expect anything filling—it’s more for post-dinner drinks. The cocktail list is short but changes often, so you’ll find new surprises every few visits. The drinks are generally refreshing with a citrusy twist, perfect for gin lovers! 🍸 #HiddenGemBar #AmbianceVibes #MySpiritualCorner #DMVExploration #DMVDrinks #BarHopping #DCCocktailBar #DCWeekend #WeekendDrinks #TipsyTimes
