DC Omakase | Sushi Ogawa 👍
My first time dining here, and I genuinely had an amazing experience! (I had seen some negative reviews before, but I still wanted to try it out myself.) Always trust your own luck 🍀—I feel like this is my favorite omakase spot in DC so far! We got to try so many different types of fish and seafood!! The sea cucumber had such a nice, bouncy texture, and the uni was incredibly fresh. (I never used to eat raw fish, but I’ve slowly started trying more, and it actually sits really well with my stomach 😋😋) I really love this style of dining with lots of variety—it lets you experience so many unique flavors, and you leave super full and satisfied! The vibe here is really warm and inviting—it feels like a cozy little izakaya. It’s not as formal or polished as some Michelin-starred places, but honestly, I prefer it this way. The chef even wipes your small plates between courses, and he’s super friendly and engaging!! The emotional satisfaction is just through the roof~ ✨ It’s so much better than Barrack!! That place felt like completing a task rather than enjoying a meal 😅 [hehe] Way better than those places that just fill a course with boring salmon slices. I’ve been to Barrack twice and can barely remember anything about it 🙃 Some Michelin spots just feel like tourist check-ins, you know? So, what’s your favorite omakase memory? Have you tried Sushi Ogawa yet? Let me know in the comments! 👇🥢 #WashingtonDCSushi #DCOmakase #SushiOgawa #DMVEats #DMVFoodie #SushiLover #OmakaseTime #FoodAdventure #EatLikeALocal #DCDining
