DC Restaurant Exploration | The Fresh Sour Flavor of Peruvian Cuisine

Washington has a few Peruvian restaurants, but Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar stands out with a stellar reputation, boasting over ten thousand reviews on Google with a score of 4.9 😆 That’s a mind-blowing rating, filled with mostly positive feedback! This was my second visit, bringing friends from out of town to try some unique dishes. If you’re up for raw fish, it’s definitely worth a shot. I found the flavors quite pleasant; none of the dishes I’ve tried have been disappointing, but taste is subjective, and some might find the acidity too intense, not to everyone’s taste. Octopus appetizer This octopus is super fresh and full of flavor, delicious! It’s served steaming hot, which really whets the appetite. 🐙🌟 Triple ceviche For those who can handle raw fish, I highly recommend giving this traditional ceviche a try. It comes with three different flavors combined, and it’s the last item on the ceviche menu. Each variety has a bit of a sour kick, quite strong, a burst for the taste buds. If you’re not into sour, you might find it a bit much. But if you can handle it, it’s quite refreshing. 🍤🌊 Lomo Saltado - Stir-fried beef This beef dish is quite tasty. The addition of fries gives it a very American twist 😆 I wonder if the original Peruvian stir-fried beef includes fries. Drinks: The purple one is chia seed, highly recommended by the staff, not bad at all. The yellow one is passion fruit, a bit too sweet for my liking. All the drinks come with syrup, so if you’re not into sugary beverages, you might want to avoid them 😆 #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCfood #DMVdining #DMVfood #DMVfoodie #WashingtonDCfoodexplore #Peruviancuisine #rawfish #stirfriedbeef #SouthAmericanfood
