DC Restaurant Week | Seven Reasons
Right in the city center, it’s the perfect spot for a delicious bite after shopping 😋 Beef tartare with quail eggs, black sesame, and buttered bread - the bread base is super crispy and fragrant, but if you can’t eat black sesame, you might as well keel over on the spot 🥛🍞 The main course, short rib, is like a one-second teleportation back home for those from Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The flavor is just like the popular snowflake beef of recent years - sweet, with the beef so tender it melts in your mouth 🥩🌟 The halibut is very tender, but the portion is tiny. Compared to the beef, it’s just a bite’s worth. If you’re looking to get full, you can just ignore this halibut 🐟 The chocolate tart is hard enough to be used as a weapon, harder than the buns my mom made during the pandemic. Paired with jam, it’s a combo of bitterness and sourness that really stands out 🍫🥴 In summary, what’s good is really good, and what’s not is really not. You can’t just blindly go for it. The first cocktail is delicious! It’s like a grapefruit drink! 🍹👍 Also, the overall environment is similar to Shoto, with a bar vibe, but the music is loud, especially the day we went; it seemed like the music volume would suddenly get extremely loud. It happened several times that day 🎶🔊 Probably won’t be going back, but the short rib gets a thumbs up! 👍 #RestaurantWeek #DMVFood #WhattoEatinDMV #DCRestaurantWeek #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericRestaurant #DMVFoodie #DMVFoodandFun #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCFood
