DC Restaurant Week | Moonraker - A Gorgeous Rooftop Bar ✨
Exploring DC, we just looked for nearby places on Google Maps that we haven’t tried yet. We booked a Patio seat in advance through Open Table. The Patio here offers a stunning view of the Potomac River and The Wharf. You can capture the beauty of autumn leaves 🍁, it’s super pretty! But since we went during the day, it was a bit quiet and a bit sunny outside, so we moved to an indoor seat. The interior decor is also to die for. We found out they were participating in Restaurant Week, and it doesn’t end until the end of the month~ 🍷 The cocktails are on the pricey side, starting at $20+ with some at$40. But they really don’t skimp on the alcohol 🫡. We both got tipsy after these two drinks. I had half a glass, and 🐔 had a glass and a half; usually, he’s just a light drinker… The one I ordered was called ‘Butterfly Bloom’ and it was quite tasty. The other one we both agreed tasted like medicine. 🫛 🐔 ordered ‘Spicy Edamame’ haha, because the other two options were seafood. He doesn’t like seafood except for sushi… hahah, such a picky eater. The outside seasoning was quite good; we shared it as a snack with our drinks. 🥟 I chose the ‘Seafood Dumplings’ - they were delicious, but there were just a few… 🍣 🐔’s sushi - he said it was very good. 🍚 I ordered the pork fried rice - oh, I loved it! The portion was quite generous. The taste was amazing; I didn’t leave a single grain of rice. It was oily but not at all greasy, just perfect, and it came with a runny egg too. Highly recommended!! 🍮 The ‘Yuzu Cream Puff’ was so aromatic and so summery. It had a refreshing, sour taste, and the sauce at the bottom was lightly sweet 💛. The ‘Matcha Petit Cake’ was also super delicious, with matcha sauce and cream inside, but not at all cloying, and there was red bean too 💚. But I found it slightly more ordinary compared to the yuzu one. The decor is truly stunning, perfect for a date. I definitely want to come back and check it out at night💙. The name is also super nice. The entrance is a bit hard to find; it’s in the lobby of the Pendry, a five-star hotel. Take the elevator to the Penthouse. #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurant #GlobalFoodSquad #DMVFoodie #DMVFood #DMVFoodAndFun #DMVWhereToEat
