DC Star Dining ⭐️ A Cozy, Hidden Gem with Soulful Vibes

Celebrated my birthday around Thanksgiving and finally got to try this restaurant I’ve been wanting to visit forever! 🎂❄️ Despite the freezing weather, I braved the cold—only to spend ages finding the entrance… it’s seriously tucked away! Even though it was a belated birthday treat, the restaurant’s atmosphere totally lived up to my expectations. The Christmas decor was gorgeous, and even the outdoor seating was packed with people—so festive! 🎄✨ On the food front: I really enjoyed the starters and desserts! The crudo was fresh and light—absolutely delicious. 😋 I also loved their cute little plates—asked about them and found out many are locally made, and some can even be bought at Material Things! Also tried a kombucha that was surprisingly tasty hehe. The main course was a bit too one-note for me though. Maybe it’s because I’m not the biggest pork fan, but the whole set menu was pork-centered… and a tad salty. 🥓 But the bread—OMG—so fragrant and delicious! It’s sourced from their sister restaurant, Petite Cerise. Definitely want to check that out next time! Price per person: $330 📍 The Dabney 122 Blagden Alley NW, Washington, DC 20001 Have you been here? What’s your favorite hidden spot in DC?
