Delicious and Unique Eats in DC! A Cost-Effective Balkan Buffet 🌮

📍 **Ambar** There are multiple locations in DC. I recommend booking online. After your first visit, you’ll immediately get a $20 voucher for your next meal, which you can use at the Shaw location. The total cost per person comes out to $36, making the weekday lunch buffet the best deal (including tax, tip, and an outrageous 3% surcharge). 🤑 The menu is attached at the end. Bring a friend so you can try more dishes! It’s totally doable for one person to have seven or eight plates. For a bold ordering strategy, I simply said, “Bring me all the seafood and chef’s delicacies.” The initial serving speed was good, but it seemed to slow down intentionally later on—one dish took 20 minutes to arrive. 🕒 The seafood wasn’t as delicious as I had hoped. After eating, I felt it was greasy and overly salty, which is common with buffets. Each dish had a lot of cheese and sauces. 🧀 Most of the chef’s delicacies were pretty good, except for the last one: - Cream of mushroom soup with a mushroom pie; - Bell peppers stuffed with plenty of cheese; - The beef tartare was the best! Five stars! 🌟 The lamb here has a stronger gamey flavor, so avoid it if you’re not a fan. The slow-cooked dishes were tasty, but the fire grill options were just okay—salty sausages, jerky, and chicken skewers. 🍖 For seafood lovers, mussels are a good choice, and the trout is decent, but the salmon is pretty average. The shrimp comes with a corn-flavored chowder underneath. 🦐 #DCFood #WashingtonDC #DMVEats #Buffet #BalkanCuisine #MyStory #HappyMoments
