Detroit is SOOO yummy! 😋

Came from Chicago to Detroit, tried to walk in without a reservation at the viral spot Leila but it was full. Ended up at Eatori Detroit next door. Had zero expectations, but it was super good! 👍 (😍 BTW, both are on Resy—got a free dinner!) These mussels were so fresh and tender, not too raw or fishy at all. Barely any sand! The sauce was creamy and a little spicy—so delicious and not heavy at Asked the server about the Resy cover photo lamb chops—they were out, but they brought us a hidden menu item: half a chicken marinated for 72 hours! 🍗 The skin was crispy and flavorful, the meat was juicy and not dry at all. Came with a salad and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were smooth and handmade, and the salad was great too—especially the cucumber! 🥒 As someone from Chicago, I was shook. Did I just never have good cucumbers before? This meal totally changed my view of Detroit. Total was $68, added bread for $3, and with Amex, it was basically a free meal! 💳✨ Across the street, there’s a bakery open until 10 pm. A long line but worth it! Every bread and cake was gorgeous 🧁✨ (Just tried a cream puff—so good, not too sweet, tasted just like ones back home!) Next door, the boutique Xhibition was unexpectedly cool! Carried a bit of Japanese brands and some niche labels. Spotted a coat from a New York brand I liked. 👘🧥 For sightseeing, visited Sweetest Heart of Mary Church—they were holding service but still let us in quietly to look around. So beautiful! Also checked out a few shops in Midtown—kinda pricey but artsy and cute. #Detroit #Food #SweetsFixEverything #ChicagoDayTrip #Resy #AmexPlatinum #BoutiqueShopping
