š DMV Food & Beverage Brand Observation Log The dessert hunter is back! Today, I finally visited this spot that's been on my list forever but I never had the time for. It's located almost at the far west end of the Georgetown commercial street. There's a bus stop right across the street, and it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the center of the main strip. Super easy to find, whether you're from Georgetown University or just visiting! Their ice cream has been ranked among the Top 50 Ice Cream Stores on some US websites ā a must-try episode! š š½ļø Shop Overview š Name: Ice Cream Jubilee - Georgetown š Address: 3333 M St NW, Washington, DC 20007 š Ordering: Takeout only š° Price: A single scoop in a cup is $7.65 šļø Ambiance: A very small shop, only has an ordering area and checkout counter. No seating inside, just a few seats outside the door. šŖ Dining Experience I'd heard so much about it, but I didn't go for any fancy flavors ā just tried one of the classics, Banana Pudding (kicking myself now for not getting a second flavor!). I thought it might be overly rich, but it actually exceeded my expectations. It's more like banana pudding cake than just banana pudding. Neither the banana-flavored ice cream itself nor the pudding bits inside are overly sweet ā the sweetness is just right. The pudding isn't exactly melt-in-your-mouth, but chewing it together with the ice cream, you get the three distinct flavors of banana, ice cream, and pudding all at once. It's a really unique and addictive texture! A friend previously recommended their Strawberry Matcha flavor, but I didn't see it today ā maybe it's a Seasonal Menu item? ššµ š„¤ Recommended Flavors: Banana Pudding, Strawberries and Cream, and the chocolate series. š Summary: A very typical small, casual shop where you pop in to get a scoop or a waffle cone to enjoy while walking around. The lines aren't usually long. Price-wise, it's standard for American ice cream. Their sweetness level is generally not too high, so even those who worry about richness can indulge without fear! š (Starting with this review, introducing a rating system! Out of 10, higher score = better personal evaluation. Personal opinion only!) ā Rating: 9.3/10 š” ARA Suggestions: Consider placing a few seats inside for customers waiting for orders or who want to eat in. Could add a large sun umbrella for the outdoor seats.
