Har Cheong, Rice Rolls, Crab Balls & Pineapple Buns! ❤️ I’d seen this place recommended here and there online but never had the chance to go—until recently! With the hot weather making everyone at home too lazy to cook, and my friends and I craving something light, we finally visited Mark’s Duck House a few times… and it totally exceeded expectations! So here I am, sharing the love! 📍 6184-A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044 🧮 Heads up: the classic dim sum carts are only available on weekends before 3 PM! On weekdays, you order from the menu (but let’s be real—the carts are where the dim sum soul is at 😉). This time, my friend and I tried the freshly cooked stir-fried snails—so fresh! The aunties and servers were super sweet, stopping by every now and then to compliment our choice of seafood 🐚. Skip the soft-shell crab—it got a bit too salty toward the end. But definitely order: the giant fried crab balls (seemed like every table had them!) and the salt-and-pepper squid (perfect for lighter summer appetites). The walnut shrimp in creamy sauce is also a kid-friendly favorite 🍤. We also got homemade tofu pudding—since I’m not a fan of ginger syrup, I asked for plain tofu pudding and sweetened it with sugar myself. DIY win! 💡 🪭 The service here is genuinely warm. The first time I came with my in-laws (who are Korean), they weren’t used to the strongly wok-fried rice noodles. When we mentioned it, the owner kindly explained that the charred flavor is intentional for aroma, but still gladly brought us a lightly stir-fried version. Every server we’ve met—whether cart-pushing aunties or floor staff—has been smiling and patient. No cold shoulders, just good vibes 😊. After paying, don’t miss the takeaway buns by the entrance—cream buns, taro buns, and more! Perfect for bringing a bit of goodness back home 🍠🥯. Parking is easy, though the lot has some potholes—drive carefully! Across the street, there’s a Suyi bubble tea spot and a PetSmart that hosts weekend pet adoption events 🐶🍹—nice little post-meal stop!
