DMV's Pasta Spotlight: Lupo Verde 🍝

I've been experimenting with making Carbonara at home lately, and Google results say Lupo Verde is one of DC's top spots for this classic pasta dish—so I had to try it! 🧑🍳🔥 1️⃣ Carbonara A very traditional pasta dish! The restaurant uses handmade noodles—chewy, textured, and not overly smooth. The cheese sauce was rich and flavorful, though a bit on the salty side. Plenty of black pepper, which I loved! 🖤 They used pancetta instead of the more classic guanciale, but it still worked well. $20. Verdict: My homemade version still has a long way to go—back to the kitchen I go! 😂👨🍳 2️⃣ Seafood Paccheri A decent seafood pasta with a tomato and white wine-based sauce. The seafood was fresh, but overall, the dish felt a bit ordinary—nothing particularly standout. $32. Good, but not unforgettable! 🍤🍅 Service was friendly and welcoming, though a little on the slower side ⏳~ but the staff’s warmth made up for it! Final bill came to around $50 per person including drinks and tip. 🧾 Have you tried Lupo Verde’s pasta? Which dish is your favorite?
