DMV Aromatic Nepali Cuisine ๐ณ๐ตโจ
Tried a restaurant on Viennaโs Maple Ave called Royal Nepal Bistro ๐ฝ๏ธ Itโs located in the former spot of Momo House, which closed during the pandemic. ๐ช๐ This place is actually a spinoff of the Royal Nepal in Alexandriaโnot related to the previous Momo House, though both serve South Asian dishes and make great momos (dumplings)! ๐ฅ๐ They said they wanted to create a community-focused vibe, so itโs small and styled as a bistro ๐ก๐ซ They even tweaked the menu, thinking Vienna locals eat healthier (after seeing Chopt and Sweet Leaf Cafe nearby ๐) ๐ฅ๐ฟ Today we ordered: โข Wild Boar Momo ๐๐ฅ โข Lamb Biryani ๐๐ โข Thali Platter with Goat ๐๐ โข Butter Chicken ๐๐ง โข Plain Butter Naan ๐ซ โข Mango Lassi ๐ฅญ๐ถ No disappointments! The momo was the best ๐ Only the butter chicken was a bit sweet for my taste. And one dish in the platter had a surprising luosifen (sour bamboo shoot) flavorโwonder if Americans are okay with that? ๐๐ค Feels like a little gem worth revisiting! ๐โค๏ธ ๐ 131 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA 22180 ๐บ๏ธ #DMVFood #WhatToEatInDMV #NepaliCuisine #MomoLove #HiddenGem #ViennaVA #BistroStyle #CommunityEats #SouthAsianFlavors #FoodAdventure #SpicyAndSavory #DumplingDelight #ButterChicken #LassiLover #InternationalEats #LocalSpot #FoodDiscovery #TasteOfNepal #DCAreaEats
