DMV Dining | Nothing Bad, But Didn't Hit the Spot
Just okay—nothing particularly amazing (maybe expectations were too high). In three words: “It’s fine.” 😐 🏠 Restaurant: La Bise Foie Gras Torchon 🪿 Hudson Valley Foie Gras on Toast Not bad and not too rich, but the pistachio jam was just average. Beef Tartare 🥩 Raw Beef Tartare with Cooked Quail Egg First time trying raw beef with a cooked quail egg. 😂 Burgundy Black Truffle Risotto 🍄🟫 The best dish! Lots of black truffle and the hazelnut crumbs were delicious. Rohan Duck 🦆 The most famous dish felt a bit ordinary. Maybe the chef had an off day; it wasn’t very tender. Mint Chocolate Soufflé 🍫 Interesting and not too sweet, but the mint flavor was strong. Skip it if you’re not into mint chocolate. The prices are reasonable, around $60-70 per person, with a default 20% tip. 💵 #DMVFoodie #DMVDining #DMVExploration #DMVEats #WashingtonDCFood #WashingtonDC
