DMV Dining 🍷 Where to Go for an Anniversary Date?

This Place is Beautiful & So Reassuring! ✨ If you're looking for a quiet, detailed, luxurious, and uninterrupted dining experience for your anniversary, Métier is one of the best I’ve tried recently in the DMV area! 💖 It’s the sister restaurant of the one-Michelin-starred Kinship. The entrance is hidden inside Kinship—you have to take an elevator down to reach it. The dining space is cozy, with only about five or six tables. The decor is cream-white toned, with soft lighting and a calm, intimate atmosphere—perfect for a romantic date or special celebration without any social pressure. 🕯️👩❤️👨 📸 We visited around Valentine’s Day. The waiting area is always decorated with seasonal flowers and mirrors, and the lighting is perfect for photos! 📷 Before being seated, we enjoyed snacks and drinks in the lounge. Since we mentioned it was a date night in advance, they even surprised us with a small photo album and a Polaroid picture! 🎁 🍽️ They offer a fixed six-course tasting menu: three appetizers and three main courses, followed by dessert and a chocolate fudge finale. The meal felt satisfying but not overly heavy. The appetizers are refreshing and light—especially the passion fruit-poached lobster, which had a bright acidity and a hint of creaminess. A truly relaxing start! 🦞 The pan-seated snapper was also excellent—tender fish in an orange-infused broth, delicate and uplifting. I’ve been here before, and the main courses always leave a lasting impression. The chef loves using aromatic ingredients like truffle and ham, and the meats are cooked perfectly—flavorful but not overwhelming. It’s the kind of food you’ll want to remember. 🥩 🍫 Dessert was rich yet not too sweet, with clear layers of flavor.
