DMV Food Review|North America’s First GAGAWA! 🍗🔥
Store Name: GAGAWA (Tysons Corner) I’ve passed by this place so many times! When I searched online, almost all the recommendations were from Russian exchange students—calling it things like “the ultimate fast-food chicken chain” 🐔💥 Turns out GAGAWA (originally Tavuk Dünyası) is a chain from Turkey. “Tavuk Dünyası” literally means “Chicken World”! 🌍 It has over 275 locations in Turkey and has expanded to Cyprus, Madrid, and beyond. ✅ Recommended|Signature Combo Set – 49cm Super-Long Platter The plates looked small on the menu, but they’re actually huge! My favorite was the Teriyaki Chicken – super tender, perfectly balanced sweet-salty flavor, not too heavy. Served with arugula salad + long-grain rice – light and satisfying! If you only pick one, go for the teriyaki chicken – you won’t regret it! 😋 The other combo was Sriracha Lovers (spicy chicken + tomato pasta + small salad) The chicken was also tender, medium spice level but not too intense. The pasta tasted like something from a casual Western restaurant – not bad, but not outstanding. The salad was KFC-style but way too bland – basically skippable. 🥗 Tomato Soup + Bread 🍅🥣🍞 Classic Western-style tomato soup with a touch of mozzarella for creaminess. The bread was sourdough-like – pretty plain on its own. But dipped in the soup? Absolutely delicious! It really brings out the flavor – highly recommend trying it that way! 👍 ❌ Not Recommended Crispy Chicken Bites Honestly, not great. The chicken was a bit dry, and the coating was so hard it was almost tough to chew – kinda hurt my teeth lol 😅 It came with sweet chili sauce (nice tangy-spicy flavor), but the chicken itself had a smoky taste that didn’t win me over. Edible, but wouldn’t order again. Have you tried GAGAWA yet? What did you think – worth the hype?
