DMV Kid-Friendly Outing | National Building Museum

🚜 Big Build Special Event! I often visit DC and have been to most museums, but on a recent afternoon stroll, I stumbled upon a special event by chance! It’s a paradise for taking the kids out! As soon as you walk in, there are various booths set up by different companies, each showing off their ingenuity. There’s real cement to play with, wood to saw, plumbing to fix, building 3D models with marshmallows and spaghetti, glass workshops, painting, and all sorts of creative handiwork. The highlight is not just toys, but actual hands-on activities! Real tools, teaching kids how to use them step by step. I even saw someone making something out of cement 😂 It seems you can take your creations home, but we arrived late and didn’t get to experience it. There was also a giant spinning wheel dart game for giving away picture books. All activities are kid-friendly! Nonstop fun! It’s absolutely perfect. I think kids aged 3-13 can find something to play with, but maybe 4-9 is the more suitable age range. I’ve also clarified the details of this event for everyone 👌 It happens once a year (I was really lucky today!) 🚜 The event is called Big Build and can be found on the National Building Museum’s official website. The date varies each year, but it’s usually in October when this special event takes place. 🎫 There’s no admission fee. Just walk in, no need to register in advance. ❤️ Basically, every booth has little toys to give away! I only took a small hat and a yo-yo, but there’s so much that you can’t possibly take it all! It’s a very lively event! #DMVKidOuting #dmvfun #DC #WashingtonDCMuseums #KidFriendlyOutings #nationalbuildingmuseum #architecturemuseum #buildingmuseum
