DMV New Spot | Fish Shop at The Wharf 🐟✨
A new eatery has landed at The Wharf! Rumor has it this one’s an import from the UK 🇬🇧—apparently, even King Charles has to wait in line at their original Scottish location. Talk about hype! 😲 But interestingly, Fish Shop uses locally sourced ingredients from right here in the DMV. 🥬🌽 🍤 Fried Buffalo Oysters The batter was a bit thick, but the oysters were huge, super fresh, and super juicy! 🌊 🍄 Roasted Cauliflower and Mushrooms Mild and slightly sweet—veggies were roasted just right, not overcooked at all. 🍔 Smash Burger Pretty standard—the patty was a bit overdone for my taste, not too greasy though. Not quite the authentic smash style, but okay. The Old Bay fries were crispy and delicious! 🍟👌 🍰 Desserts All three were classic American-style—meaning very sweet! The Peanut Tiramisu stood out: bitter notes from the liqueur paired with candied peanuts balanced it nicely. 🥜🍮 The interior is fun and quirky, decorated with hanging fish-shaped ornaments. 🐠🎣 Averaged about $40 per person for brunch (including tax and tip).
