DMV Seafood Restaurant: The Salt Line 🦞

They have three locations across the DC area—I visited the one in Ballston! 🦪 Their oysters are plump and fresh—especially the larger ones with lower salinity. So good! Do you prefer briny or mild oysters? 🍥 The clam chowder was a bit thin, with too many bread crumbs for my taste. 🐟 The main dish, rockfish, came with a Sichuan-inspired spicy sauce 🌶️—so flavorful! The sides were tasty too, though the portion felt a bit small. Funny enough, the spice level made some nearby diners complain (even though it wasn’t that hot!) 😅 Have you ever had a “spicy” dish that others couldn’t handle? 🥘 The Portuguese stew was hearty and loaded with seafood—the sausage in it was delicious! 🎂 Dessert was a Napoleon cake with chocolate drizzle—tasty but a bit sticky on the teeth. 🍸 I tried a lychee-flavored cocktail—seems like a new addition, and it was refreshing! I thought it’d be a casual weekend spot, but the prices were on the higher side. It’s a place I’d visit more often if it were a little more affordable! 🙃 📍 Address: 4040 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203 #WhatToEatInDMV #DMVfood #DMVarea #SeafoodRestaurant #SeafoodLover #OysterBar #SpicyFood #DCeats #ArlingtonVA #SeafoodFeast #CasualDining #WeekendEats #FoodReview #DMVdining #TrySomethingNew #CocktailHour
