DMV Union Market – The Best Burger Lately – Pastis 🍔✨

Pastis is a French chain restaurant with a rustic bistro vibe. This Saturday, we tried their Midday Menu (available from 3–6 PM). Overall rating: 8.5/10. First off, let’s talk about their burger—it’s definitely my favorite lately! 🥳 With sweet onions and Gruyère cheese layered inside, one bite and you’ll taste that French touch (because let’s be real, American burgers rarely use Gruyère…). The top bun is fluffy, and the bottom isn’t soggy at all. The beef patty is cooked medium—just as the chef recommends—so the juices stay locked in. The fries are another highlight: freshly fried, crispy, and so tasty. My friend joked: “This is the burger Le Dip wishes it could make!” 😂 Next up, the Happy Hour foie gras pâté—so generous with the portion! Smooth, rich, and served with classic crustless white bread. Absolutely delightful. Lastly, the grilled chicken sandwich is also a winner. The chicken is super tender and juicy, topped with tomato, avocado, and lettuce, all served on ciabatta bread. A classic combo done right. 🥑 Price per person: around $50 (including tax and tip). Pastis 1323 4th Street NE, Washington, DC Have you tried Pastis yet? What’s your go-to burger spot in the DMV?
