Does Montenegro Actually Have Good Food? ❓❗️
First, two things to brace yourself for: Europe isn’t exactly a culinary paradise to begin with. Montenegro is expensive. 1. Restaurant City | €50 per person We ordered salmon, a seafood platter, and squid stuffed with shrimp paste. Overall, it was mediocre. The salmon was underwhelming—no seared aroma. The squid dish was slightly better. But the standout was their yellow sauce—super refreshing, with a summery vibe I’d never experienced before! 2. Autrium | €50 per person ❌ AVOID The grilled fish (forgot to take a photo) tasted steamed, not grilled. The pork neck was poorly cooked too. Service was terrible—staff scowled the entire time. Overpriced for the quality. 3. Ombra | €35 per person ⭐️ The best of a mediocre bunch Initially skipped this place thinking it was too pricey, but tried it on our last night. The grilled squid was fragrant and perfectly cooked. The sea bass had crispy skin and tender flesh. The chocolate soufflé was delicious (though more like a brownie). Their homemade bread (forgot to photo) was amazing! Only downside: dishes were slightly salty—ask for less salt when ordering. #MontenegroFood #MontenegroTravel #BalkanTravel #BalkanFood
