Writing this is English for everyone especially for locals to be aware this disrespectfulness. At the arrival to Kotor, when we were looking for our apartment to stay we walked through this place. Waitor was Turkish called us to his restaurant with saying "merhaba"(hello). When we didnt reply him back. There is no way i will explain why, because i just simple didnt want to say hi back thats all! And he walked towards us and said "you are Turkish why you dont answer me?" And i said "cuz i didnt come here to talk to Turkish people". He said : "if you dont wanna hear Turkish, you shouldnt come to Montenegro!" And i was still looking for apartment with my luggage and he really pissed me off and i said "can you imagine an Arab is saying the same thing in Turkiye? " And he directly walked away with saying "woaa sister you just started political talk.." and when i was telling its exactly the same thing, he really just walked away. In Turkish we say -Dont s. it in your plate- (Yedigin kaba pisleme) This restaurant is earning money from Montenegro but dont know anything about hospitality or tourism or restaurant sector. I wanted to write this to let owner of the restaurant know about this behaviour of their Turkish staff. As a Turkish person i find this so disrespectful. I shared this experience on our Tour guides and Travel agents whatsapp groups. And this waitor should learn something; "you dont talk to people with your little mafia attidute. And we say merhaba to any Turk only if we want! If you do that in any restaurant in Turkiye, you would have no reasons to run behind the people and ask why we didnt say hi back to you. Besides we were tired as hell with our luggages trying to find our stay!!" First second arrival to Kotor and a Turkish staff ruined the atmosphere! And the other kind Turks and local Montenegro people fixed it. Obviously you can learn that it wasnt a good advertisement , didnt work out, because we share this experience now with 1 star and shared it with tourism sector and every other Turkish store and restaurant around Kotor who are way too kind and gentle! And you will be reported to our tour guide friends at Tourism Information desk.
Hope restaurant owner receives this to teach hospitality and kindness to...
Read moreThis is a great place for the atmosphere and service. The waiter guided us through the menu and was extremely helpful. We both enjoyed our soups, we got the fish and the veal soups. They really hit the spot. The veal soup was to die for, it didn’t require any extra salt and I wish I ended my meal with that. We over ordered and got the Montenegrin salad, the Njeguški pork steak and chicken fillets for our mains. I’d say the mash for each was well made but both the pork steak and the chicken were extremely overcooked and dry. The portion sizes were large, we both got 2 fillets each served on top of mash. I found the dish sickly but was able to finish one fillet, as the dishes cooled down we couldn’t force ourselves to eat any more. The waiter/manager? Was aware of the chicken being plain so he ensured we ordered a sauce with it but even that couldn’t save it. I still want to leave a good review because during the whole experience on the beautiful terrace, there was a musician switching between a clarinet and a saxophone. The musician played both with ease and provided ample entertainment throughout the meal. He caught my ear with a rendition of Francis Lai’s/Henry Mancini’s theme from love story and played other greats such as Con te partirò and Can’t Help falling in love. The meal was extremely romantic and we loved the atmosphere even if we didn’t enjoy our mains. The couple next to us seemed to enjoy their mains so I think we just ordered the wrong thing. Avoid the chicken fillet and the Njeguški steak and you should be fine. I was envious of the kebabs that came by to other tables but cannot comment on their taste. Peoples’ faces made that seem like the choice. In all I recommended even going there for at least the soup if tables are free. Definitely worth checking out for...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic evening at this restaurant and I want to share my exciting experience with you. This restaurant is truly special, offering delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful ambiance.
As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I was impressed by the warm and elegant atmosphere. The tables were beautifully set with tasteful lighting, creating a cozy space for my dinner. The outdoor seating area was equally stunning, with picturesque views and a relaxed atmosphere.
However, what truly left me in awe was the food. The menu was diverse, featuring a wide range of delectable dishes from around the world. I opted for an exquisite seafood dish, featuring fresh and flavorful seafood paired with a unique blend of spices. Not only was the presentation visually appealing, but each bite was a burst of flavor. The restaurant also offers plenty of options for vegetarians or those with special dietary preferences.
The service here is truly outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had an unforgettable evening. They provided recommendations from the menu, assisted with beverage choices, and always ensured that my plates were clean and ready for each course.
