You can still eat and hang out even after checkout… I didn’t want to leave! Please don’t raise the price 🥺 🏨 Luxor: Steigenberger Achti Resort Luxor ¥600+/night — Part of the Steigenberger chain, very Chinese-friendly 🎌! Check-in info provided in Chinese. All branches share the best Nile views — even prettier than in Aswan 🌅! Close to hot air balloons 🎈 — after your flight, take a felucca and watch more balloons in the sky. Then head back to the hotel for breakfast 🥐. I even saw staff having a sunset gathering — such good vibes (wish I could join!). The hotel souvenir shop is great — fair prices, no need to go to El-Souk market 🛍️. Luxor can feel rough outside — the hotel is heaven, outside is… not 😅. Better stay somewhere nice! 🏨 Aswan: Basma Hotel Aswan ¥800+/night — Beautiful front desk ladies 💁♀️! A great alternative to the Old Cataract Hotel, right next to it with comparable Nile views. You can enter Old Cataract with a 700 EGP pass for afternoon tea or dinner — no reservation needed 🍽️. Lots of wealthy-looking Western guests. We had dinner there — live music, I danced clumsily and everyone cheered 👏😆! Aswan hotels are generally expensive. Otherwise, try a Nubian village homestay — very unique colorful houses! 🏨 Cairo: City Palace Hotel ¥200+/night — Small but clean room 🧼, convenient location near Tahrir Square.
