DTLA | Stunning French Restaurant Le Petit Paris π«π·
Choosing this restaurant for our Lunar New Year dinner was the best decision I made in 2024! A beautiful blend of French and American influences β amazing food and even better atmosphere. Perfect for birthdays, dates, gatherings, or any celebration π΄. 1οΈβ£ Appetizers: Fried Calamari β Light, crispy batter (not heavy breadcrumbs) β a nice twist. β Onion Soup β Rich and flavorful, though might be a bit salty for some Chinese palates. Still highly recommended for onion lovers! π₯Ή Escargots β Delicate butter and herbs with just a hint of garlic β surprisingly comforting. π«Ά Baguette β Warm and fresh as expected. 2οΈβ£ Mains: Grilled Octopus β Smoky, charred, absolutely delicious β a must-order! πππ Roasted Cod β Light and fresh with lemon (didnβt try personally, but family loved it). β Steak Frites & Filet Mignon β Solid, well-cooked steaks β no complaints. 3οΈβ£ Desserts: Lemon Tart & Moka French Cheesecake β Truly exceptional! π The lemon filling was bright and creamy, just a touch sweet. The cheesecake was mousse-like, with coffee bitterness balancing the sweetness β would come back just for these! πππ Lava Cake, Strawberry Gelato, Vanilla CrΓ¨me BrΓ»lΓ©e β All good, but standard compared to the stars above. 4οΈβ£ Truffle Fries β Thin, crispy, and stayed crunchy β a tasty side. A lovely surprise: When we entered, they asked what we were celebrating. I said Lunar New Year, and our server later brought out sparklers and non-alcoholic shots (usually reserved for birthdays)! So thoughtful and heartwarming ππ«Ά. Average about $100 per person with a 20% service charge included β no need to tip extra (unless youβre feeling extra generous β¨). 𧧠Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! 𧧠#LunarNewYear #FrenchCuisine #WesternFood#LosAngeles #LADateSpot #LABirthdaySpot#LARestaurants #LAFood
