Duluth’s Korean-run Izakaya: Ozuri Izakaya
Just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable either. Honestly, if you’re craving skewers, Shoya still does it better in my book. 🍢🤷♂️ The vibe here is casual and relaxed, with simple décor that gives off a neighborhood hangout feel. We tried a mix of grilled items and small plates, but flavors mostly fell flat—lacking that punch or depth you'd expect from a solid izakaya. The yakitori was tender but underseasoned, and even the classic chicken thigh skewer didn’t have that smoky, charred aroma you’d hope for. Compared to Shoya, which serves richer, more flavorful grilled bites, Ozuri feels like a milder, less inspired alternative. 🍗🔥 Service was friendly and attentive, and the menu does offer a variety of options beyond skewers, including sushi rolls and donburi. It might be a convenient spot if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. If you’re looking for that satisfying, deeply savory izakaya experience in Duluth, there are definitely stronger contenders around. 📍👀 #AtlantaEats #DuluthFood #DuluthGA #Izakaya #JapaneseFood #FoodReview #ATLDining #NotImpressed #SkewerLovers 🍥🍶😐✨🍱📉
