Early Summer Afternoon Dreaming ⛅️ Walden Pond
“We can never have enough of Nature” - After walking around the lake, it’s as if I briefly entered a shimmering afternoon dream. It’s about a half-hour drive from downtown to Walden Pond, located at Concord, 01742. There’s a large parking lot by the lake, but spaces are limited, so it’s best to go off-peak. 🅿️ Massachusetts license plates: $8🔪, Out-of-state license plates:$30🔪/per day In the summer, you can swim 🏊, kayak 🚣, fish 🎣, or paddle on the lake. I highly recommend slowing down and taking a walk on the weekend, measuring Walden Pond with your steps, and exploring the poems Thoreau left in the woods. Walking around the lake takes about an hour, with no exits and weak cell phone signal! Halfway through, you’ll pass by the purple line tracks, which I thought were abandoned before the train came😅 - don’t follow my example. No Dog (It’s not recommended to take small dogs as there might be ticks in the woods.) #BostonLife #BostonSurroundings #BostonWeekend #WhereToGoOnTheWeekend #WaldenPond #Boston
