Egypt | Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan
Finally arrived at the Nile shore described by Agatha Christie ✨ Every corner preserves the historical charm of the 19th century 🏛️ set aside two days in Aswan during my Egypt trip just to experience this legendary hotel from Agatha’s novel. Spent the whole afternoon wandering around the hotel — when tired, headed to the bar for a couple of drinks 🍹 At sunset, sat outdoors enjoying the dusk over the Nile 🌅 ⛵ Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan ▫️ Staying at the hotel allows free access (3k – 15k EGP/night) ▫️ Day pass for non-guests: 1000 EGP/person ▫️ Pass value can be used toward afternoon tea, lunch, or dinner 🍽️ ⛵ Tips: ▫️ Aswan is the hottest city in Egypt ☀️. We visited in August — avg. 46°C! Outdoor photos can be challenging. ▫️ The hotel interiors are gorgeous too — perfect for indoor photos 🖼️ ▫️ If you buy a day pass, enjoy cold drinks at the lobby bar (~300 EGP/drink) 🧊, and use the remaining credit for meals (~800 EGP/person) ▫️ For a felucca sunset cruise 🛶, avoid booking at the hotel pier — it’s more expensive. We negotiated hard and got a private boat for $40. Try the KFC pier — usually just a few hundred EGP! #TravelInfluencer #EgyptTravel #Aswan #NileRiver #OldCataractHotel #HistoricHotel #LuxuryHotels #DesertAndSea #NileSunset #VacationGoals 🌍❤️
