El Platanal: A Cozy Puerto Rican Eatery with Homely Vibes

✨This little restaurant called El Platanal is exactly the kind of place where local families gather for a meal! We originally came here looking for a delicious Mofongo (plantain-based dish), and overall, the experience was pretty good, though with a few minor hiccups. 🧁 Desserts Were the Highlight Their homemade desserts were a real standout. We tried the Empanada and the coconut-flavored treat—both were absolutely delicious! Sweet but not overly so, with a genuine homemade feel. 🚗 Better to Visit on Sundays We came around noon on a Sunday, and while parking was somewhat available, the street is a one-way, extremely narrow, dead-end road. 💙Weekdays would probably be even more of a nightmare, so we highly recommend visiting on a Sunday or skipping the car altogether! 🍹 The Bar Looked Promising Although we didn’t order any drinks this time, we noticed the bar in action—the quality and presentation of the cocktails seemed impressive. We’d love to give them a try next time! #PuertoRicanFood #FamilyRestaurant #SanJuan #ElPlatanal
