Electric Griddle Teppanyaki Feast! 🔥 DIY Guide + Ingredients

Bought this electric griddle for $14.99 during Macy’s Black Friday sale in 2021! 🛒 Now available at similar prices at Walmart/Target (search: Electric Griddle, not Grill!). 📍 Ingredient Shopping & Prep: 🥩 Beef: Shaved Steak from Capital Center Market (perfectly thin for sandwiches—just separate and grill!). Avoid Costco’s thicker cuts (can turn gamey). 🥓 Pork: Whole pork belly from Tian An Market on State St—sliced at home. Pre-sliced thin belly available at Global Market. Costco’s is too thick! 🍗 Chicken: Chicken Tenderloin (more tender than breast!). Marinate with black pepper + teriyaki sauce + soy sauce for hours. 🦐 Shrimp: Super Colossal Shrimp from Walmart. Costco’s head-on shrimp works too! 🦑 Squid: Calamari Rings from Walmart—thaw and grill! 🍡 Fish Balls: Bought at Global Market (sold out after this feast!). Midway Asian Mart has them too (but pricier!). 🍄 Enoki Mushrooms: From Tian An Market—rare in American grocery stores! 🌿 Chives: Also from Tian An—used a handful (save the rest for chive omelets!). 🥬 Lettuce: For wrapping—available everywhere! 🔥 Why we love it: ✅ Affordable griddle = endless teppanyaki fun! ✅ Customizable meats and veggies ✅ Perfect for group dinners or solo cravings! Pro tip: Marinate proteins ahead for max flavor! 🧂✨ #Madison #Teppanyaki #DIYGrill #UWMadison #AsianFood #HomeCooking 🥢
