Elegant & Traditional Vibes|Authentic Sichuan Cuisine
Last week, I treated friends to dinner — they wanted Sichuan food, so I chose this beautiful restaurant in Rowland Heights. With its high-ceilinged, classical Chinese decor, it’s perfect for impressing guests. While we were finishing our meal, the next table celebrated a birthday — staff gathered with birthday signs, sang loudly, and really brought the energy! 🎂🎶 Definitely keeping this place in mind for future birthday parties in their private rooms. 🥢 Hanging Pork Belly (Liang Yi Bai Rou) Thinly sliced pork belly draped over a mini bamboo rack. Wrap it with cucumber and dip generously in garlic-chili sauce — first you get that punch of savory spice, then the cool, tender texture of the meat. Not greasy, not dry — refreshing and appetizing! 🐮 Pepper & Sichuan Pepper Beef Tongue A must-order for tongue lovers! Chewy but never tough, layered with the fragrant numbing-spicy kick of Sichuan peppers and chilies. Paired with cucumber slices underneath — flavorful but never heavy, and the aroma builds with every chew. 🍲 Pork Trotter Soup (Lao Ma Ti Hua Tang) My first time trying this — and I’m so glad I did! The broth is rich, deeply collagen-rich, and tastes like it’s been simmering for hours. The pork trotter is fall-apart tender, melting in your mouth. Dip it in chili oil for an extra layer of spice and texture — absolutely delicious. 🔥 Flamed Beef Short Ribs These ribs are roasted until incredibly fragrant, sliced thin, and served with fluffy bao buns. We loaded them up with chili oil, cucumber strips, and the tender beef — each bite was soft, chewy, and deeply satisfying. The cucumber balanced the heat perfectly so it never felt heavy. 📍 Chuan Shan Jia 18888 Labin Ct Ste C101, Rowland Heights, CA 91748 #100RestaurantsChallenge #CaptureTheMoment #LALife #LAEats #LAFoodFinds #LAHomecoming
