Chinese friends took me here. It seems like a very authentic place. Mostly only Chinese patrons. In fact, I think I was the only American in the place. Cool, I like that. I appreciate being accepted into a place like that who most likely have very authentic food at a good price. This wasn't really that. It was ok. Just nothing special. Certainly, it's not $110 for 3 people special. Which was what we were charged. Nothing fancy about it. Everything was kind of cheap, and those things show. I don't care when that happens if the food makes up for it, and if the food doesn't make up for it, then the price should. None of this happened. Cheap decor and utensils. Food was not good quality.
The lamb skewers were extremely chewy and hard to get off of the skewer. You might need a dentist if you break a tooth trying to tear it off. Seriously.
We ordered chicken wings, and 2 orders equals 2 wings?? I think there was a mistake but we were too tired to care.
Potato (peels?), which was like peeling a potato all the way through, so it's like a pile of scrap potato. With a very bland sauce on top.
I think it was an abalone glass noodle something (I don't know, they spoke very fast in Mandarin when ordering). This was the only decent thing. But all 3 of us attacked it like it was our last supper.
An order of rock oysters came with 5 or 6 and were also ok, but I was worried they weren't the freshest and therefore not good quality, and that would make me sick later (but I was actually ok, ha)
They ordered this chicken dish, which was all knuckles? A knuckle salad?? Each little ball had a chewy bone. A bowl of chicken nuts? Called a knuckle bowl?? My friend told me I'm supposed to eat the bone but I was not that hungry. I had already taken both of them out to eat earlier the same night. These Chinese girls can mow food down like nobodies business. I love that, but for over 100 bucks? Ummm... I didn't feel that welcomed to fork over this amount of money for...

I have to say that their stir-fried dishes are really amazing to me, especially the Guobao Pork, which is made in an old-fashioned way and is really crispy on the outside and tender on the inside without being chewy. Of course, we also ordered the Fat Sausage, which is not inferior to the Fat Sausage at all. It's very clean and the thickening is just right. Personally, it surpasses many restaurants that specialize in...
Read moreAt Yi Pin Chuan, this Chinese BBQ spot partially cooks your meat kebabs before putting them on your table’s automated self rotating grill and that already makes them stand out over the other similar restaurants in LA’s Koreatown.
If you’re able to NOT spill their chili and cumin powder all over the place😅, be sure to dip your meats in them for even more spice and flavor activation! My favorite meat of this meal? The lamb spare ribs: their perfectly seasoned meat easily breaks away from the bone
✨If that’s not enough to convince you, then their Fried Sweet & Sour Pork with the juiciest meat on the inside and crispiest batter and sweet sauce on the outside definitely will✨
We had: 🐷Fried sweet and sour pork, 🥬Water Spinach, 🐑Spicy Lamb Kebab, 🥩Beef Kebab, 🌶️Spicy Beef Kebab,...
