Excellent Cuisine Dinner: Hearty Cantonese Feast

After work today, I went with my family to Excellent Cuisine, a well-known Cantonese restaurant in Portland! We often come here for dim sum, but this time we specifically visited in the evening to try their dinner menu—and we were not disappointed! We ordered four dishes for four people, ate to our hearts' content, and even had plenty to take home!🍽️ As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the wonderful aroma of wok-fried dishes~ We ordered Sliced Beef with Mushroom in Sauce, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Sizzling Plate Spareribs, and Dry-Fried Rice Noodles with Beef. When the food arrived, we were stunned by the portions! Especially the Dry-Fried Rice Noodles—it was piled up like a mountain😲 The owner is so generous! My favorite was the Sliced Beef with Mushroom in Sauce~ The large beef slices were tender and juicy, the sauce was savory and well-balanced, and paired with the fresh mushrooms, it was absolutely perfect with rice!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Our whole family agreed it was the best dish of the night~ The Salt and Pepper Shrimp my husband ordered was also delicious—crispy on the outside and tender inside, though personally, I still prefer the salt and pepper squid we’ve had before~🦑 The Sizzling Plate Spareribs were full of wok hei! Served sizzling hot with a rich black bean sauce flavor, it was even more intense than the dim sum version. As for the Dry-Fried Rice Noodles, I opted for the dry version—each rice noodle was glossy and flavorful. If you prefer saucier noodles, you can try the wet version!🍜 The bill came to just $80!
