Explore HOTARU Japanese Restaurant in Valencia đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”

🍣 Hotaru: Valencia’s New Japanese Gem with Stunning Vibes and Great Value Tried Valencia’s newest Japanese restaurant today, and it’s a keeper! Located about a 10-minute walk from Xativa metro station, Hotaru stands out with its thoughtful decor—more polished than most Japanese spots in the city, with beautiful wallpaper and even an outdoor dining area (perfect for dates). A quick heads-up: the menu is only in Spanish, and there’s a set menu available at lunch. But trust me, it’s worth navigating—especially with such friendly staff (they even offered to take our group photo!). đŸ± Standout Dishes Tartar de atĂșn 🐟 Served in a cute bento-style box, this tuna tartare is layered with textures—fresh fish, crisp veggies, and a zesty sauce that makes every bite interesting. Wagyu Beef Tataki đŸ„© Thinly sliced, seared beef with a tangy, acidic kick (though the vinegar is a touch strong). Still, it’s light and refreshing—great for starting the meal. Tempura Shrimp đŸ€ Perfectly fried: crispy, not greasy, with a light batter that lets the shrimp’s sweetness shine. The dipping sauce is mild (not too salty), and the plate arrives warm—little details that matter. Sushi Highlights 🍣 Crab & Avocado: My personal favorite. Simple, but the creamy avocado and sweet crab mix beautifully—sometimes the classics win. Spicy Tuna & Uni: Bold, umami-rich, with a subtle heat that lingers. Tuna & Salmon with Avocado: Fresh, buttery fish paired with creamy avocado—never misses. Nikiri Grilled Lobster with Yuzu Sauce & Salmon Roe 🩞 A showstopper! Half a lobster, torched to caramelize the yuzu sauce, topped with briny salmon roe. The sauce is unique—bright, citrusy, and smoky from the grill. So good, even with just half a lobster. đŸ¶ Drinks & Extras Plum Wine: Smooth and easy-drinking—great with the food. Complimentary Shot: A surprise finish of shochu mixed with orange and lemon—zesty, boozy, and a fun way to end the meal. ✹ The Verdict Value: We went with 6 people, and it was only €20+ per person—insanely good value for the quality. Vibe: Polished decor, friendly service, and a relaxed vibe that’s great for groups. Recommendation: Bring friends—more people mean more dishes to share! Overall rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌖 (4.5/5)—Hotaru is already a new favorite. For fresh sushi, creative dishes, and unbeatable value, this is a must-visit. 📍 Address: Carrer de Cadis, 48, 46006 ValĂšncia, Valencia #ValenciaJapanese #SushiLovers #NewRestaurantAlert
