Exploring & Eating in Bakersfield / Happy Easter! š°š„š£
Our trip brought us to Bakersfieldāand what a lovely little stopover it turned out to be! š This city is actually the perfect resting spot if youāre road-tripping your way to Yosemite National Park. Instead of rushing through, we decided to spend a full day here to recharge, and it was such a wise callāno more hurrying from one spot to the next, just slow, easy fun! š The highlight of our day? A super cute farm we visited! Hereās the fun part: this farm is connected to Mango Hausāthe same place we had breakfast this morning! After munching on their fluffy pancakes and fresh mango smoothies (so good, by the way! š„), we found out about the farm next door and knew we had to check it out with our daughter. She had an absolute blast thereāchasing butterflies, petting the friendly farm animals (there were some tiny chicks that made her squeal with joy! š„), and even picking a few fresh veggies with us. Before we knew it, it was 3 or 4 in the afternoon, and she still didnāt want to leaveākids really do light up around open spaces and cute critters! š„° Once we dragged her away from the farm, we headed back to our RV to whip up dinner. Tonightās menu? Shrimp, Lentil & Egg Fried Riceāsimple, homey, and exactly what we needed after a day of running around. The shrimp was plump and juicy, the lentils added a nice texture, and the egg gave the rice that classic savory flavorāour daughter even had two bowls! š Tomorrow, weāre finally hitting the road to Yosemite National Parkāweāve been talking about it for weeks, and weāre all so excited! šļø #blythe #RVLife #CaliforniaRoadTrip #BakersfieldAdventures #YosemiteBound
