Bakersfield Apricot Blossom Forest Day Trip Itinerary: More Than Just

The annual apricot blossoms in Bakersfield are in full bloom again. Drove two hours all the way just to take photos of flowers? Here I’ve put together a one-day trip itinerary with all stops along the way. 🚩Apricot Blossom Forest: 9001 Valpredo Ave, BakersfieldWhen driving from LA to Bakersfield, you’ll be close to the apricot blossom forest after passing the outlets. You can park your car anywhere by the roadside, and there are currently very few people. The area is shaded by trees, so you don’t have to worry about strong sunlight. 🚩Taco Bros: 4521 Ming Ave, BakersfieldAfter leaving the apricot blossom forest, continue driving north and you’ll pass by Taco Bros. Their tacos are delicious and affordable, and there’s also a popular "Taco Wing" photo wall. 🚩Buck Owens‘ Crystal PalaceDrive a little further north and you’ll reach downtown Bakersfield. There are many colorful small houses here, and live music starts after 5 PM. If it’s not too hot during the day, it’s lovely to just take a walk and take photos. 🚩Kern County MuseumA short drive away is this museum. It’s not very large in area, and the admission fee is $10 per person. Each small house serving as an exhibition hall has its own unique features. 🚩Plaza Del Valle: Panorama CityOn your way back, when you’re approaching downtown LA, you’ll pass by this place. It’s a colorful Mexican-style town— the walls are colorful, the ground is colorful, and even the tables, chairs and shops are colorful. There are also occasional live music performances by bands; it’s a vibrant and artistic town. #traderjoe
