Exploring a Hidden Gem: Roman Specialty Bistro
This bistro is a real treasure trove! I had the best pasta of my trip here. I discovered it just two days before my trip to Rome, and the reservations were fully booked. After two days on the waitlist, I got lucky and managed to snag a spot. It’s definitely worth the effort to get a table here! 🍽️ ▪️ Cacio e Pepe Crostino A Roman specialty with black pepper and cheese sauce. The bread is perfectly crisp, and the cheese is rich and creamy with a hint of powdered milk. The goat cheese is a bit too rich for my taste, but I’m glad I only ordered a slice instead of the whole dish. 🍖 ▪️ Fettuccine Agli Scampi This was my favorite pasta in Italy, aside from the stars! The lobster bisque is incredibly fresh with a hint of spice, reminiscent of Tom Yum. It pairs perfectly with the tender and sweet scampi tartare, which soaks up the sauce beautifully. The almond pesto adds a nutty aroma and creaminess, while the squid ink fettuccine is thick and chewy. The combination of ingredients and flavors is both innovative and harmonious. 🍝 ▪️ La Rana Nel Bosco This dish features “alla mugnaia” style fish, which is dusted in flour and pan-fried with butter and lemon juice. The seasoning is light and simple, allowing the fish’s natural flavor to shine through. The monkfish is firm and sweet, with a delightful aroma. Thin slices of pork cheek add a touch of fatty richness, and the white truffle is incredibly fragrant. 🐟 📍 Cipasso #Rome #Italy #Foodie #ItalyTravel #ShopHopping
