Exploring in North Carolina | A Satisfying Feast for Southeast Asian

I’ve had this Vietnamese hot pot restaurant saved for ages, and I finally got to try it this weekend! It took an hour to drive there, but after eating, I can confidently say that every minute of the drive was totally worth it. Taste 😋 It’s called "Thai Seafood Hot Pot" on the menu. The flavor is slightly sour but not spicy—nothing like the intense sour-spicy kick of tom yum goong. They served small plates of crushed pickled chili peppers on the side. I mixed some chili with hot pot broth and fish sauce to make a dipping sauce (not sure if this is the "official" way to eat it, but it was so good!). Our routine was: first sip the clear broth as soon as the pot boils, then cook the seafood, and finally blanch the rice noodles and veggies (water spinach, bean sprouts, tomatoes) to finish.Who knows how satisfying those two bowls of noodles were at the end? 🤩 It’s similar to ending a Korean BBQ meal with fried rice—all the best flavors come together in that final bite, pure perfection!🥰🥰🥰 Price 💰 One hot pot costs around $50. We originally planned to order an extra bowl of Vietnamese pho too, but the server stopped us just in time. She said the hot pot already comes with rice noodles and veggies, and it would be more than enough for two people.Turns out she was right—we even couldn’t finish all the noodles, so we packed the uncooked ones to take home.🥰🥰🥰 Restaurant Info • Name: Saigon Cuisine Restaurant • Address: 4205 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407🥰🥰🥰 #NorthCarolinaEats #NorthCarolinaFoodie #VietnameseHotPot #SoutheastAsianFood
