Farewell Dinner in Saltillo, Mexico 🇲🇽

Tonight marks my last dinner in this city I've called home for over a year. As I sit in Taquería Musa - our favorite taco spot we've visited twice before - I can't help but feel nostalgic about leaving this quiet but special place. Saltillo may be a small city without endless attractions, but its safety and the warmth of its people made it truly welcoming. Some of my fondest memories were made here: • Those weekend drives to Monterrey through majestic mountain roads ⛰️ • Visiting the extraordinary Desert Museum (twice! Their cactus collection was unbelievable) 🌵 • Discovering hidden hot springs after long hikes ♨️ • Most importantly - this is where we got our marriage certificate! Our love story will forever have Saltillo woven into it 💍 The restaurant buzzes with weekend energy around us. Taquería Musa's tacos remain as delicious as I remember - the al pastor with its perfect charred edges and the succulent carne asada are absolute perfection 🌮. The salsa bar with 8 different homemade sauces still impresses me. As I take my last bite of tres leches cake (their secret-recipe version is to die for), I realize how much unexpected joy this unassuming city brought us. It wasn't love at first sight, but a gradual appreciation that grew with each sunset over the Sierra Madre mountains. To anyone assigned here for work: Don't dismiss Saltillo. Let it surprise you with its quiet charm. As for me, I'll forever treasure our: #MexicanMemories #SaltilloDays #MonterreyGetaways #TacoTuesdays #UnexpectedJoy
