Feeling the "Orange" Glow at the Orange Garden
📍 Giardino degli Aranci ✔️I visited this place twice. On my first visit, I walked past the Orange Garden and continued west for about 100 meters to the iconic arch that frames the view of three countries. Unfortunately, after waiting in line for an hour, I missed the sunset on my way back. The second time, I brought a colleague. We first visited the Appian Way and then rushed here. He said he had been to Rome several times for business, but never had such an interesting day. ✔️The Orange Garden lives up to its name. In December, the oranges are ripe and the branches are laden with golden fruits. Under the gentle afternoon sun, this small garden feels even warmer. Next to a large tree, a group of children were playing some game. Upon noticing my arrival, they all turned and looked at me with curiosity. The light filtered through the branches and leaves, casting a serene glow on the circle of children. ✔️As I continued walking, the sound of a street performer's music drifted through the air. As usual, people were sitting on the railing. Looking into the distance, the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica stood right in front, and to the right was the solemn Altare della Patria. Below, cars moved at a leisurely pace on the road, while the Tiber River flowed gently beside it, whispering stories of time. ✔️This place is on the Aventine Hill, one of Rome's seven hills. Legend has it that Rome's two founders, Romulus and Remus, had a disagreement over where to build the city. Remus favored the Aventine Hill, while Romulus preferred the Palatine Hill. In the end, Romulus killed Remus and named the city after himself—Rome. #TravelWithPassion #Rome #ItalyTravel #EuropeTravel #RomeSunset #ForJustAFewMoments #TwilightOfTheGods #CityOfMovies #Photography #LoveInTheTimeOfSunset
