Finally Found Excellent Pan-Fried Buns & Soup Dumplings in Seattle!
Came here during peak weekend hours โ only had to wait for two tables, not bad at all! ๐ฅโจ Hereโs what we tried: ๐ฅ Juicy Pan-Fried Buns (Sheng Jian) The star of the meal! Though made with a slightly leavened dough, the skin wasnโt thick โ and oh, the soup inside! ๐ฆ Even after sipping carefully, each bite still burst with hot broth. The bottom was perfectly golden and crispy ๐ It stayed warm throughout โ still hot even after we finished our soup dumplings! Minor downsides: the filling could be sweeter, and there was a slight porky taste (but still acceptable ๐) ๐ฅข Pork & Shrimp Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) Wanted the crab roe version, but it was sold out ๐ฆ๐ข These had thin, slightly chewy skins and plenty of soup โ again, just missing a bit of natural sweetness, likely due to the ingredients here. ๐ Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles Not exactly traditional, but the flavor was tasty! The sauce was rich with peanut butter, chili, and vinegar โ a hearty, comforting bowl ๐ฅ๐ถ๏ธ Though I usually prefer a sweeter, more delicate flavor profile, this is definitely one of the best dumpling spots in Seattle โ and weโll be back! (P.S. Theyโre offering a 10% opening discount โ might still be going on! ๐) ๐ Dumpling World #SeattleEats #SeattleFood #XiaoLongBao #ShengJian #DumplingLover #SeattleLife #WeekendBites #ChineseFood
