Finding Peace and Life in Rhode Island 🕊️

✨I never expected to be left speechless by a cemetery! This is definitely the most park-like cemetery in the U.S. — spanning 60 acres with over 40,000 stories buried within. ✨It feels less like a resting place and more like an open-air architectural art museum 💙From the moment you enter, you’re captivated: Victorian-era sculptures, neoclassical tombstones, winding cherry blossom paths, and squirrels and rabbits roaming freely… 💙It completely shattered my stereotypes about cemeteries! Many people come here to bike, jog, sketch, or even walk their dogs — the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and healing 🔥The most stunning part is the riverside area — you can see the Providence River flowing below, with forests unfolding like oil paintings on the opposite shore (no wonder locals call it the "eternal vacation spot"). 🔥Be sure to grab a walking tour map — it’ll guide you to the resting places of many famous figures, like Sarah Helen Whitman (Edgar Allan Poe’s muse) and descendants of Rhode Island’s founding families. #RhodeIslandTravel #Providence #ArchitecturalArt
