Swan Point Cemetery — Attraction in Providence

Several months ago my family was Devastated from the sudden passing of our loved one who purchased a plot beside her loving husband at this cemetery. However, our family wasn't aware that this business has a policy that is extremely bizarre because they state that not only does the family of any person buried here have to use a service for purchasing a headstone from a company that is linked to swan cemetery through contract and can not be purchased from any other company except the one's that they approved. They also claim the right to dictate what is written and placed on the headstone and set aside the final say as to what is acceptable and can refuse whatever they don't see fit in their narrative. However, my family has been grief stricken after contacting a person at this establishment who told us specifically what size headstone we could place on the grave and said that we couldn't have nothing protruding the ground and that the measurements she explained would be accepted." Nonetheless, to our enjoyment and loving gatherment of our family we designed a beautiful headstone from our hearts and paid over 1,100$ for and had it sent to the cemetery to be installed. However, to our udder shock we were contacted by swan cemetery upon its arrival to them stating that they couldn't use the headstone we had made and that we were misinformed because they have to approve what is written on the headstone and we would have to wait for their approval and use the company that they have a contract with to design the headstone and then if they approved it then we could place it on the grave site!" Stating that they are not responsible for our costs and that they will not honor the headstone they were in possession of and that the person who bought the plot was given a panflit that explains this. But what we explained was that the person who bought the plot is the deceased and that we were told by a person who we spoke to that we only had to follow a guideline not exceeding a distinct size and height requirement and obviously would not have purchased anything that would not be accepted if they would have informed us of whatever policy clause they had when we spoke to whoever it was we spoke to on the phone. " Moreover, it's highly unfortunate that after burying our family member a few months ago we were blindsided by misinformation from a employee who if told correctly we could have made the proper decision and not feel like we do. So to anyone who is inquiring about this business, I suggest that you ask for all policies and fine print before making any decisions so that you don't have to go through more grief...

I need to know why when I attempted to purchase a headstone recently, the granite place told me there was one, zero the month prior, so I go to the cemetery and there is a crappy one WITH THE WRONG NAME ON IT, my mother bought four plots over 25 years ago, so I get a call your mom died take an Uber clunk when I spoke to her the week prior and everything was fine, and I get to the funeral parlor who has paperwork with ALL my personal information on it ,and told SIGN THIS OR THEY WILL REFUSE INTERMENT, duress ten feet from my mother's frozen body and corpse, I have gotten NO WHERE, in TWO YEARS, I am her only child and only next of kin, NO death certificate,NO autopsy report, NO estate, NO answers, NO contact whatsoever,and NOW I go to swan point cemetery and a generic headstone WITH WRONG NAME ON IT shows up AFTER I attempt a purchase to HONOR MY MOTHER, single parent, but the website has the CORRECT NAME, two more empty plots, and historical...
